Professor of Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. B.S. (1990) in biology from Liaoning University and M.S. (1993) and Ph.D. (1997) in ecology from Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Visiting Scientist at Ghent University in Belgium (1996-1997) , Georgia University in USA (1999-2000) and Research Institute for Humanity and Nature in Japan(2013-2014). Current research areas: nutrient cycling in agro-ecosystems. Wrote or co-authored 3 books and more than 160 journal articles and book chapters. Editorial Board member for Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology and Journal of Agricultural Resource and Environment. Other professional services: Deputy director general of Liaoning Provincial Society for Environmental Sciences (LNSES); Deputy director general of Liaoning Provincial Society for geographical Sciences (LNSGS); Director of Liaoning Province Society for Soil Science; Professor of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).
