Introduction of Journal of Agricultural Resources and Environment

 

Journal of Agricultural Resources and Environment (Nongye Ziyuan yu Huanjing Xuebao, ISSN 2095-6819, JARE for short), founded in 1984, administrated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, China. JARE is a national academic journal co-sponsored by the Agro-Environmental Protection Institute, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Chinese Society of Agro-ecological Environment Protection.

JARE is a double-blinded peer-review Chinese Core Journal as well as Chinese Scientific Core Journal, abstracted and indexed by Scopus, Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory (Ulrich IPD), EBSCO (USA), CABI (UK) and DOAJ. JARE includes four columns:

1 Strategy and management;

2 Agricultural resources;

3 Agroecosystem and environment;

4 Agro-product safety

 

Nowadays, China has to feed more than 20% of the world population with only 7% of the world cultivated lands. At the same time, some serious environmental problems we must confront with, such as soil and water pollution, poor agricultural products quality, cultivated land degradation, vast agricultural wastes, and so on. How Chinese utilize agricultural resources and protect environment is attacking the world concern. JARE is a unique forum in China to discuss those problems.

 “Agricultural Resources and Environment” is the first grade discipline in China, and there are thousands of researchers and students majored in this discipline. JARE is the only academic journal that accorded this discipline.  JARE is published bimonthly in Chinese, and has been recognized by public as a high-level academic journal that publishes original research papers and reviews covering agronomy, ecology, biology, biochemistry, physics, chemistry, genetics, especially resource science and environmental science.

 

 

The editorial committee of JARE is constituted of 72 high-level researchers. Professor LIU Rong-le, the editor-in-chief of JARE, is a prestigious researcher in eco-agriculture, and he is also the director of the Agro-Environmental Protection Institute, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, China. Every thesis in JARE is published in accordance with the international standard, and the table and figure, the colophon, as well as the abstract, keywords, references are written in English.
