Abstract:
To analyze the differences in the response of different peanut varieties to cadmium stress in terms of phenotypic, yield and physiological indices during the critical reproductive period. Using different tolerant peanut varieties as materials, treatment of planting soil with different content of cadmium stress at critical reproductive periods, measurement of indicators. The results show:trends in agronomic traits differed among tolerant peanut varieties subjected to cadmium stress. Cadmium-tolerant varieties showed an increasing trend in main stem height, lateral branch length, and total number of branches, soil cadmium content reached a maximum at 2 mg · kg-1 in all cases,cadmium-intolerant varieties showed an increasing and then decreasing trend after cadmium stress. There was no effect on the number of single and double fruits of the two varieties, and the total fruit weight and the number of full fruits were significantly affected. The total fruit weight all showed a trend of increasing and then decreasing, with maximum increases of 68.12% and 72.81%, the number of full fruits were significantly reduced, with maximum decreases of 18.00% and 29.91%. The kernels of different tolerant varieties showed different accumulation and trends of cadmium.Cadmium accumulation in kernels of cadmium-tolerant varieties showed a trend of increasing and then remaining stable, while cadmium-intolerant varieties showed a trend of gradually increasing. The two varieties of peanut differed in their membrane lipid tolerance, and the malondialdehyde(MDA)content varied significantly among the reproductive periods, cadmium-tolerant varieties had higher membrane lipid tolerance than cadmium-intolerant varieties. Peroxidase(POD)activity differed significantly between the two varieties, cadmium-tolerant varieties had significantly higher POD activity than cadmium-intolerant varieties and had higher cadmium stress tolerance. In summary. There were significant differences in agronomic traits and physiological responses among tolerant peanut varieties, according to the production needs, timely regulatory interventions during critical peanut reproductive periods, to ensure the safety of edible peanuts.
