Abstract:
To analyze the risk of excessive pollutant discharge from seawater aquaculture ponds in Liaoning, this study selected key indicators such as pond size, production volume, environmental management, feed ratio, water pollutant risk, and drainage frequency to construct a risk assessment system for excessive discharge from these ponds. The study evaluated the risk of excessive discharge from 14 coastal counties, cities and districts in Liaoning Province. The results indicate that the risk index for excessive discharge of a single pollutant in seawater aquaculture ponds, from highest to lowest, is pH value, suspended solids, chemical oxygen demand, total phosphorus, and total nitrogen. Seasonal comparisons show that the risk of excessive discharge from aquaculture ponds is significantly higher in autumn than in spring. The risk index ranges from 1.54 to 2.73, with an average of 2.05. Specifically, Donggang City, Zhuanghe City, Wafangdian City, Pulandian District, and Dawa District have higher risks of excessive discharge from seawater aquaculture ponds; Lüshunkou District, Gaizhou City, Laobian District, and Linghai City have moderate risks; while Ganjingzi District, Jinzhou District, Xishi District, Xingcheng City, and Suizhong County have relatively lower risks. This study used a hierarchical analysis method combined with the Nemerow comprehensive pollution index to effectively assess and delineate the environmental risks of excessive discharge from seawater aquaculture ponds in coastal counties, cities and districts of Liaoning Province, providing a scientific basis for early warning and control of excessive discharge risks.
