| Abstract: |
| Hydrothermal humification(HTH)for the synthesis of artificial humic acid(AHA)not only enables the resource utilization of organic solid waste, but also AHA exhibits significant potential for applications in improving agricultural efficiency, soil improvement, and pollution remediation, demonstrating co-benefits of pollution reduction and carbon mitigation. This study reviews the research progress of HTH technique and applying AHA in agriculture and environmental remediation. Firstly, this study elucidates the effect of parameters on HTH, enhancement methods, synthesis mechanism, function regulation, catalytic mechanism, and properties of AHA. Then, it analyzes the applications of AHA in agriculture including biostimulation, nutrient enhancement, soil improvement, and pollution remediation. Finally, this study provides insights into the main challenges in the research of HTH for AHA synthesis, and provides an outlook on future research directions, aiming to offer theoretical basic and technical support for the technology of HTH-based AHA synthesis and the application of AHA in agriculture and environmental remediation. |
