Abstract:
In order to explore the effect of amino acids on cadmium(Cd)enrichment and the relationship with antioxidant system of Chinese cabbage, this study employed different concentrations of L-cysteine solution to spray the leaf surface of Chinese cabbage in the mild Cd contaminated soil. The content of Cd and the index of antioxidant system of Chinese cabbage were measured. The results showed that the content of Cd in aboveground part of Chinese cabbage decreased after spraying L-cysteine(P<0.05). When the spray concentration was 20 mmol·L-1 and 30 mmol·L-1, the transfer of Cd from the root to the aboveground part was significantly reduced(P<0.05). The effect of spraying time on Cd content was significant(P<0.05). When L-cysteine concentration of 30 mmol·L-1 was sprayed in three leaf singlephase(TCM), the lowest value of Cd content in aboveground of Chinese cabbage were found, decreased by 63.67%. The transport coefficient was the lowest at this condition. In addition, with the increase of L-cysteine concentration, chlorophyll content of Chinese cabbage increased. After spraying L-cysteine, POD activity was increased, and SOD activity was decreased(P<0.05). Spraying with 30 mmol·L-1 concentration of L-cysteine can increase the content of MDA and GSH in Chinese cabbage. The study showed that spraying Lcysteine increased the chlorophyll and antioxidant system activity of Chinese cabbage; improved the intercepting ability of Chinese cabbage to Cd, reduced the transfer of Cd from underground to aboveground, and alleviated the stress of Cd on Chinese cabbage.
