Abstract: |
Tobacco organic waste refers to the waste secondary tobacco leaves, soot, tobacco dust, and tobacco stalks generated during the process of industrial tobacco production. Owing to the toxicity of nicotine in tobacco waste on soil microorganisms, inappropriate treatment methods will not only waste biomass, but also aggravate environmental pollution. The resource utilization of tobacco waste, which can simultaneously reduce pollution and recover energy, is of great significance to promote the green, low-carbon, and sustainable development of China′ s tobacco industry. To improve the efficiency of resource utilization from tobacco waste, this study provides an overview of the latest research progress, systematically introduces the extraction and utilization methods of effective compounds from tobacco waste, summarize the existing processing technology of raw material utilization as fertilizer, and analyzes energy utilization feasibility. Finally, the prospect of utilization of tobacco waste as a resource have been discussed, providing technical reference for the green and low-carbon circular development of tobacco production system. |
