The toilet revolution has contributed significantly to the new rural construction. In order to overcome the challenge of building and rebuilding water toilets in cold and dry areas with extremely scarce resources and severe geographical conditions, the construction of the sanitary dry toilets is carried out. This study mainly analyzed the adhesion of feces on the slides made of ten different materials (PTFE, UPE, PE, PET, ABS, PP, PC, PVC, SS and FS) under the condition of no water flushing and discussed the fecal adhesion on the slides as a function of the angles and feces type. The results showed that the rate of fecal adhesion varied with angle, fecal type and the type of materials. At an angle of 75°, a majority of the feces types could pass smoothly without residue, with Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UPE) exhibiting the best adhesion resistance. At an angle of 50°, the adhesion rate of UPE was noted to be the lowest (17.24%), and UPE was confirmed as the favorable slide material. Considering the feces type, setting angle of the feces inlet pipe and market price of the existing materials, UPE is suggested to be the best material for constructing the dry toilet slide. |
