Abstract:
      In laboratory, petri dish exposure test was adopted to study seed germination and seedling growth of two common Kentucky bluegrass, Nuglade and Award, as influenced by coal mining wastewater and different soil amendments(gypsum, coal powder and sewage sludge). Seed germination and seedling growth were negatively influenced by reclaimed mining wastewater and 2∶1 mixture of wastewater and clean water, however, irrigation with 1∶1 wastewater and clean water had no significant influence on germination percentage, germination tendency, germination index and seed vigor index, and promoted root length and shoot length, compared with the control. In amendment treatments, seed germination and seedling growth were best in gypsum irrigated with 2∶1 and 1∶1 mixture of reclaimed wastewater and clean water.
