CV of Prof. & Dr. WANG Xue-jun

 

 

Dr. Wang is a professor in environmental sciences in the College of Urban and Environmental Sciences, Peking University. He received Ph.D. degree in Peking University in 1991, and stayed in UC Berkeley from 1997 to 1998 as a visiting scholar.

 

 

Dr. Wang’s research areas include origin, transport and fate of heavy metals and POPs in the environment, as well as resource and environmental management and policy study. He led a number of research projects in recent years, including those projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Environmental Protection, National People's Congress, National Development and Reform Commission, and international organizations like the World Bank, UNDP, ADB, etc. He published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and 15 books.

 

 

In 1997, Dr. Wang was involved in a program entitled "Trans-Century Program Foundation for the Talents". In 2005, he received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He visited a couple of countries like Canada, the U.S., UK, Sweden, Norway, Italy, France, UK, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Korea and others in recent years for extensive collaborations.
